Summary
The RESTENA Foundation, the National Network for Education and Research of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is the official registry of Luxembourg. The responsibility for the management of the national top level domain LU was delegated to RESTENA Foundation by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) in 1992. Anybody can register a domain name under the .lu ccTLD. Today, there are more than 19 000 registered domain names under the Top Level Domain .lu, and the growth rate is of 361,9 new domain names per month (based on the 2004 monthly average newly registered names). The ccTLD .lu was established by the Internic on January the 27th 1995. .
