The Czech registry agency is the CZ.NIC z.s.p.o., an interest group of companies, founded on May 24, 1998, by fifteen companies - major providers of Internet services to oversee the registration of the .cz ccTLD. Registration under the .cz top level domain is open for everyone, and there is no limit as to the total number of domain names a particular person can register. There are more than 190 000 registered domain names under the Top Level Domain .cz, and the growth rate is of 2482.75 new domain names per month (based on the 2004 monthly average newly registered names). The ccTLD .cz was established by the Internic on January the 13th 1993 and was first managed by the a company called Eunet.
