The ccTLD .lv was established by the Internic on April the 29th 1993 and has ever since been managed by the University of Latvia’s Network Solutions Department of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science on a non for profit basis. The registration from foreign country possible, but national registration have preference. Registrants can obtain as many domain names as they want. Currently, there are over 20 000 domain names registered under the .lv ccTLD.
